Uncle Dave's Christmas Radio
Please note that the mp3 versions of these songs that you can download from my Independent Artists Company page sound a lot better than these MIDI files and that the CD sounds even better than that. Feel free to use the MIDI files on your website, but please provide a link back to this page.
Up on the Housetop
Like you, I had always thought that the name of this song was "Up on the Rooftop". Apparently, we were wrong. Up-tempo bop. MIDI Carol of the Bells / God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen Salsa with "Cool Ranch" flavor. MIDI We Wish You a Merry Christmas / Joy to the World If Bach were alive today...he would be more than 300 years old. MIDI Deck the Halls With Bo's of Diddley and your Christmas will not fade away, Buddy. Or, I Want Candy Cane. MIDI We Three Kings I found this music box lying in the street. Really. MIDI Jingle Bells v1.2 New Orleans style. MIDI Angels We Have Heard on High Performed by Techno Prisoners. MIDI Ave Maria If Schubert were alive today...this would probably kill him. MIDI Jingle Bells v1.1 Try using "upsot" the next time you play Scrabble®. MIDI Silent Night / Away in a Manger. An arrangement that just oozes niceness. MIDI What Child Is This? Musicologists speculate that this English hymn, better known as "Greensleeves", was probably introduced to the residents of the Ivory Coast of Africa by Christian missionaries in the early part of the 19th century. MIDI O Holy Night If Mozart were alive today...he'd be really upset about that "Amadeus" movie. MIDI Little Town of Bethlehem You know, where they used to make all that steel. Mid-tempo Bop. MIDI Hark! The Herald Angels Sing / Il Est Né The striking similarities between these two songs offer conclusive proof that Christmas carols were written by Ancient Astronauts; what other possible explanation could there be? MIDI It Came Upon a Midnight Clear ...and struck the Earth with colossal force! MIDI O Come All Ye Faithful Be on the lookout for fake Salvation Army bands. Thousands are taken in by this scam every year. MIDI
The following songs are not available as MIDI files, but you can download the mp3 versions on my Independent Artists Company page or buy my incredible CD that you should buy right now.
The Twelve Days of Christmas
For years, Uncle Dave has been unable to come up with an instrumental version of this song that wasn't incredibly boring. Until now. Good King Wenceslas After a hard day of gathering winter fuel, Uncle Dave likes to pound out some barrelhouse blues on the old Steinway, accompanied by "Traps" the Christmas elf on drums and "Stretch" the bass-playing Christmas angel. The First Noel This song reminds me of a typewriter I used to have; it had no "L". Featuring Lenny P on sax and Yo Mama on cello. The Holly and the Ivy This song has become quite popular lately, but everyone does a huge, overblown arrangement for it. I've done a small, underblown setting for woodwinds and harp. O Tannenbaum Berlin to Bavaria and back. We Wish You a Merry Christmas / Joy to the World (Switched-on version) If Bach were alive today...and had a synthesizer. Auld Lang Syne Peace and love version.
